Sometimes you just need a break from city life!  I’m sure many of you can agree.

Our escape from the city is Taboo Resort in Muskoka.  It’s about one and a half hours north of Toronto, near Bracebridge.  Taboo Resort is a beautiful resort in the winter (also in the summer).

Our room had a small couch with fireplace, and beautiful bathroom.  We stayed in the Premier Lakefront room.

The restaurant, Elements, serves amazing food.

A view of the frozen lake in behind.  The resort is very peaceful in the winter.  The white, fluffy snow and leafless trees beneath the cloud filled skies is amazing.  My favourite part of the country is breathing in the fresh air.  There is nothing like taking deep breaths in the cold crisp air of Muskoka.
