Sant Pere de Rodes Monastery is in northeastern Catalonia. It is one of the more scenic places I’ve been to before. I found out about this location from the travel bloggers I follow on twitter. If you happen to be in this region you have to make a stop at this Monastery. It is in the region of Cap de Creus National Park, providing lots of opportunities for other day trips as well.Below are a few pictures that illustrate the beauty of the monastery and the area.
The Monastery is extremely old and while it has been updated it is an example of Romanesque architecture. The stone was something to marvel at. I felt like we were taking a walk back in time. One reason that the Monastery stands out is because of its location on a large hill.
