Prague Zoo is located in the north of Prague. It was opened in 1931. You can take the subway and bus to get to the zoo. It was ranked one of the top then things to do in Prague by Trip Advisor. For animal lovers, this is worth the trip. The animals are kept in areas that resemble their natural habitat.
Mountain goats hanging out on their mountain in the zoo.
When we arrived to see the tigers they were having lunch inside. This tiger is chewing on a big hunk of meat. Don’t worry, there is actually a glass protector between myself and the tiger (I’m not in the cage)!
One of my favourite animals, the gorilla. I love the contemplative look, while chewing on some leaves. I find gorillas very interesting and smart animals.
Of course, who can ignore the little baby gorilla swinging and running around.
The tortoise having a munch on some watermelon. These tortoises were huge, the picture does not do justice.
The elephants were in the middle of their home renovation. This is their temporary home, it still looks pretty fun.
We both love animals, and enjoy visiting a zoo in a different city. The best way to see animals, of course, is in their natural habitat.
